back in action

So I can't figure out how to change the picture order so here goes in backwards. The end of a long day here that Zeke made it through....Dad not so much!

We had a little catastrophe today. Zeke fell off a small planter in our backyard and face planted. He ended up with a huge bump on his head and a scrape down the side of his face.
Love Mom right?

Playing outside like a happy little guy. So glad to finally be dried out of all this rain we have been getting and actually leave the house.

We went to Target....my favorite place. and Mat and Zeke located the super discount aisle of toys of course. Left over stock from Christmas I'm assuming because everything was 75 percent off. Obviously we couldn't resist such a great DEAL so we got this supa cool firetruck. Zeke's helping Mat get it out of the adult proof packaging with his screwdriver.

so not good at this

well the weather outside has been frightful. flooding and all sorts of unhappyness. Zeke and I both caught ANOTHER cold. So playtime inside has been all there is. Super unexciting and both of us have become stir crazy! My camera won't upload pictures so all there is is my rambling of unexciting tales. I noticed that my kid spends ALOT of time in his jammas but then again so do I! We have watched UP and CARS about a billion times and now he says MOVIE all day long. Thankfully the sun is coming out so hopefully I will have more things to post in the upcoming days!

this little piggy

Zeke's grandma has a new piglet living next door to her. The owner wasn't home so we did the next best thing and fed little piggy through the fence. Something I'm pretty sure I shouldn't have allowed but the pig was awfully cute.
NOW Mat thinks we need a piglet. I tried to explain to him that they don't stay mini forever....just like kids! But he swears he will feed it and clean up after it. We will see about that.
I'm not sold on the idea, however Zeke did really like the pig.

um...seriously

I have no words to describe how I feel about my new living room furniture. Zeke thinks it's amazing of course.

Just some fun recent pictures

Checking out to see if the drill can be used as a toothbrush. Sorry buddy. Power tools don't go in your mouth.

Photo Op. Me and Zeke practice taking pictures. I'm teaching him to "Cheese"

Just loungin watching some cartoons. He made himself this little bed.

Christmas in his new spiffy outfit.

I just love this face.

Zeke and me on my birthday.

Zeke helping decorate the very sad christmas tree. It probably would have been ok if he didn't insist on turning half the ornaments into Zeke's toys.

good times with dad

The greatest part about Mat as a dad is that he sometimes is just a little kid in a big kid body(and only with a little less energy then Zeke). It's a love. hate. relationship for me as it's a daily part of my life now to tell "the boys" to stop playing too rough or don't throw the ball in the house. However Zeke loves his dad and how rough he plays and that he throws the ball in the house. I'm sure it won't be long till they are BOTH saying "awww but Mom we are just having fun"

sickies

Z Man finally got his mullet cut of by Randi yesterday and then we had lunch with Rand, Robyn, Dana and Parker. "Auntie" Robyn was a super fun person to sit next to for Zeke. She let him eat off her plate and get ice out of her drink with his hands. AND last but not least dump his car in her drink.

Zeke and I seem to have caught a cold that seems to be going around so we have been laying low the past few days. We have been watching the movie "Up" on repeat basically the ENTIRE time. I'm not sure if it's because he actually knows how to say "up" now or cause he really likes watching the house with all the balloons and the giant bird run around which prompts him to run through the living room making bird noises and flapping away. for 3 days.

I now understand how we wore all the disney VHS tapes out when we were kids.

so z man's big present from us this year for Christmas was a kitchen set.
he's pretty serious about it. He makes Mat and/or I sit down by it while he whips us up something to try. Mostly it's hard and plastic seasoned with a great amount of fake salt and pepper. But if you don't eat whatever he makes he's pretty bummed out.

a new year

Hi friends and family. It seems as though this is the thing to do for your kids these days and since probably only my parents will check it out I've been procrastinating forever but I think I'm going to try to get on this bandwagon...we will see how it goes.
